Older people and alcohol and other drugs seminar

Australia's population is ageing rapidly. Older Australians are more likely to drink on a daily basis, take multiple medications, have multiple medical problems and be socially isolated.

Despite this, older people are under-represented in alcohol and other drug (AOD) services.

To examine these issues, DrugInfo will be running a seminar on 5 September 2011.

This free interactive seminar discusses issues from the upcoming DrugInfo newsletter and Prevention Research Quarterly “Older people and alcohol and other drugs”.
